Glenn Rosewall - Executive Chairman

Glenn Rosewall joined BBY in 2004 as Managing Director, CEO and major stakeholder. Glenn has over 28 years' experience in institutional broking and investment banking, primarily in senior management positions in investment banks in Australia and the United States. Glenn was appointed to the position of Executive Chairman in February 2012.

Prior to joining BBY, Glenn was based in New York as the US Head of Sales for Asian Equities at JPMorgan Chase, one of the largest investment banks in the world. He was also a member of the Bank's International Equities Executive Committee and was an Executive Director. He was also Head of Equities at Australian-owned Ord Minnett Securities Limited and responsible for the firms distribution of some of Australia's largest Initial Public Offerings and worldwide placements.

Glenn has been involved in the initial public offerings of companies such as Cabcharge, Qantas and Telstra. He has also worked on some of Australia's largest mergers and acquisitions such as BHP Billiton Ltd. Glenn has banked Australia's greatest investment success story Andrew Forrest and Fortescue Metals Group Ltd. Additionally, he has handled some of Australia's largest transactions, such as the sell down of Robert Holmes à Court and subsequent Alan Bond's 20% holding in BHP in 1990.

Since Glenn's appointment in 2004, BBY has reached a number of significant milestones. BBY has made a number of acquistions, began to self clear in 2011 and was one of the first brokers to be accepted as a Chi-X Australia participant. Additionally, BBY completed a number of capital raisings for companies that have reached over a billion dollars in market cap. These include Fortescue Metals Group Ltd, Murchinson Metals Ltd, Sundance Resources Ltd, Gujarat NRE Minerals Ltd, Linc Energy Ltd, Karoon Gas Australia Ltd and Extract Resources Ltd.

He has a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University (BeE) and is a 28 year member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Glenn is also a Master Stockbroker with the Stockbrokers Association of Australia and was appointed to ASIC’s Markets Disciplinary Panel on 1 August 2012.

Arun Maharaj - Chief Executive Officer

Arun Maharaj is the Chief Executive Officer for the BBY Group. Arun is responsible for the management of all business divisions within BBY including the general management of BBY teams in Australia and offshore.

Arun has considerable experience in the Funds Management and Stockbroking industry in New Zealand & Australia. Since joining BBY over 12 years ago, Arun has managed all aspects of the business and was also Chief Financial Officer and Head of Asset Management. Arun began his transactional career over 20 years ago with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has also worked in senior management positions within Group Strategy at BT Financial Group.

Arun holds a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Arun is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in New Zealand and is also a Master Stockbroker with the Stockbrokers Association of Australia.

Ken Rosewall - Non-Executive Director

Ken Rosewall is a Non-Executive Director of BBY Group.

Ken is a former world top-ranking amateur and professional tennis player from Australia. He won 23 Majors including eight Grand Slam singles titles and before the Open Era a record fifteen Pro Slam titles (and completed the Pro Grand Slam in 1963). Rosewall won 9 slams in doubles with a career doubles grand slam. He is considered to be one of the top male tennis players of all time. He had a renowned backhand and enjoyed a long career at the highest levels from the early 1950s to the early 1970s. He was one of the two best male players for about nine years and was the World No. 1 player for a number of years in the early 1960s. He was ranked among the top 20 players, amateur or professional, every year from 1952 through 1977. Ken is the only player to have simultaneously held Pro Grand Slam titles on three different surfaces ('62-'63). He is the first male player during the open era to win a Grand Slam without dropping a set (1971 Australian Open).

At the 2012 Legends Lunch hosted by the President of Tennis Australia Steve Healy, Ken was honoured as Australia's top male tennis player on the 40th anniversary of his last Australian Open.

He is also a successful businessman and has been involved in numerous property and commercial building projects. He has been classified by The National Trust as one of Australia’s 100 Living National Treasures.

David Perkins - Non-Executive Director

David Perkins

David Perkins is the Principal of Perkins Solicitors, and brings a broad and practical experience to the Group’s businesses and its administration including corporate governance and regulation, as well as the financial and operational goals of the group.

Prior to his current roles, David was the General Counsel and Company Secretary for JP Morgan Chase and Company for Australia, New Zealand and the Oceania region.

David has Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of New South Wales, a post graduate Diploma of Corporate Administration and is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chartered Secretaries Australia. David is also a member of the Law Society of NSW.
