CEO of Molycorp to present at BBY's Rare Earth's Conference

Mark Smith, President, CEO and Director of Molycorp Minerals (Molycorp) will be in Sydney conducting marketing at BBY's 3rd Rare Earth Conference on the 11th and 12th of April. Mr. Smith will make a presentation at the conference, supplemented by one-on-one meeting meetings with BBY clients.

BBY have covered the sector since 2008, and provide broking services to companies such as Lynas Corporation Ltd and Arafura Resources Ltd. “Mark’s timing is ideal as it coincides with increased interest in Molycorp and the rare earths industry in general” BBY CEO & MD, Glenn Rosewall said.

Molycorp’s surge from $1.3 billion to $4 billion since their listing on the New York Stock Exchange in July 2010 makes acquisitions look possible. According to Bloomberg Great Western Minerals and Ucore Rare Metals are potential targets (Source: Bloomberg).

BBY Senior Research Analyst, Mike Harrowell said, “It will be a pleasure to host Molycorp and its CEO at our conference. This company is making a huge mark on the Rare Earths industry, and is placing itself in a good position to compete with the Chinese, who currently control 95 percent of the world’s supply of Rare Earth.”

If you are a client of BBY’s and you haven't already registered for the conference, email conferences@bby.com.au to RSVP your spot.

Due to the popularity of the conference, we have decided to move the venue to the Establishment Hotel, located at 252 George St, Sydney.
